Hi there, thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.
Before starting at Summit Therapy, I had over six years of experience helping clients navigate mental health care services. I have worked with clients who were struggling with life transitions, anxiety, depression, substance use issues, recent psychiatric hospitalizations, as well as refugees and asylum seekers struggling with the impact of the trauma.
No matter who I worked with, one thing has always been clear—every client was different, and they all needed mental health services that were customized to who they were as individuals. When working with me, you will be the expert in your experience. I engage in every client interaction with a desire to understand your current situation, concerns, and goals. In return, I offer a non-judgmental, non-stigmatized space where I promise that the interventions and skills we use will be based on your unique needs.
When working together, there are numerous different therapy models to pull from in order to customize your therapy services. However, some approaches that I tend to incorporate most often would be internal family systems (IFS), narrative therapy, existential therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
I am currently a counseling intern finishing my master’s program at Grand Canyon University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist. In my free time I enjoy doing various crafts, watching movies, building computers, and spending time with my dog.
I want you to be successful in your journey to find the right therapist for you. If you would like, I would love to speak with you on a consultation call.
