Hello, I'm Amanda! I was born and raised in Arizona, and have lived in Phoenix for the past 15 years. In my free time I enjoy hiking, photography, spending time with family, and traveling around the US.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a board approved clinical supervisor. I hold a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in human and family development, from Arizona State University.
My experience before becoming a therapist was working with and advocating for kids and teens in homeless families. Now I specialize in providing therapy for ages 0-17 and their families. My experience and expertise includes foster and adopted children, understanding child development, anxiety, ADHD, high functioning Autism, sibling conflict, school issues, and trauma. I am trained to use EMDR as well as play-based therapeutic interventions.
I value providing a nonjudgmental, empathetic and collaborative relationship with my clients, as well as supporting parents in advocating for needs in school and community services. I view all families and clients through a strength-based lens; you already have the tools you need to find calm, harmony and peace for your child and family. I am here to provide a space for your child to learn and share in a welcoming and child-friendly environment, as well as to give you the space to manage the stress that can come along with parenting at times.
I am currently open for scheduling with ages 0-17, and I offer in-person sessions (or telehealth if needed/appropriate).
It would be an honor for me to work with you and your family!
